Typical Club Meeting
The J.C. 29 Toastmasters club meets once a week (Wednesdays) for two hours.
The typical meeting contains:
- Introductions -
where a member introduces all the members present at the meeting.
- A brief Business
Meeting, where administrative matters affecting the club are
addressed.
- Table Topics - a
session where impromptu 1 to 2 1/2 minute speeches are given in
response to topics dealt out by a tabletopic master.
- Prepared Speeches,
typically 5-7 minutes each, are given by several members of the club
on subjects of their choice.
- Evaluations provide
immediate positive feedback for all speakers. Members improve their
skills through peer evaluation on their strengths and suggestions on
areas for improvement.
